Online retailers are flouting disability discrimination laws and missing out on millions of pounds of consumer spending at the same time, according to recent research by Nomensa. The agency tested two pages from 30 major retail websites including Ryanair, Amazon and Currys and found that not one complied entirely with even the basic "Single A" accessibility requirements set out in the generally accepted Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0, which were used as the benchmark for testing.
According to the report, retailers could be missing out on £376m this Christmas alone - so time to update your websites and ensure everyone can use them.
